In a tragic turn of events, a fifth friend has stepped forward, shedding new light on the circumstances surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs watch party that claimed the lives of three individuals in their friend's backyard. The unnamed individual joined David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, Clayton McGeeney, and host Jordan Willis at Willis' Kansas City rental on January 7 to cheer on their beloved hometown team, as reported by attorney John Picerno to FOX 4.

According to the fifth individual's attorney, Andrew Talge, he left Willis' home around midnight, with all four friends still awake, engaged in watching an episode of "Jeopardy!" This information contradicts Picerno's earlier statement, indicating that Willis had bid farewell to his friends and retired to sleep on his couch.

Talge reveals that his client received text messages from McGeeney's fiancée and Johnson's mother, expressing concern about their loved ones' whereabouts. Intrigued by these messages, the fifth individual reached out to Willis and Johnson but did not receive any response, alleges Talge.

On January 9, McGeeney's fiancée requested a welfare check, leading to the discovery of the bodies of Harrington, Johnson, and McGeeney in Willis' yard. Picerno had earlier stated that Willis, unaware of their presence, had only received messages via Facebook Messenger and not through calls or texts.

However, Talge's revelations paint a different picture, suggesting that the fifth individual had indeed attempted to contact Willis and Johnson. The attorney did not comment on the discrepancy, while Willis' lawyer, Talge, has not responded to requests for comment from The Post.

The case remains under investigation by the Kansas City Police Department, with an autopsy and toxicology results yet to be released. Captain Jake Becchina emphasized that the incident is not being treated as a homicide, according to Fox News Digital.

In the meantime, it has been disclosed that Willis moved out of the rental less than a week after the discovery of the bodies. The community continues to mourn the loss of Harrington, Johnson, and McGeeney, as Kansas City awaits answers regarding the tragic events that unfolded during what should have been a joyous gathering of friends.
