In a recent social media post, Elon Musk voiced his concern over non-governmental personnel who he claims "broke the law to facilitate illegal immigration." Musk's statement came in response to the text of the border bill, which has been a topic of controversy in recent weeks.

Specifically, Musk highlighted a portion of the border security legislation that allocates $2.3 billion for "refugee and entrant assistance activities." This provision raised eyebrows for those who believe it could inadvertently support illegal immigration.

The bill also sets aside $20 billion for border security measures to allow the federal government to temporarily expel migrants in cases where the number of daily crossings exceeds a certain threshold. Additionally, the legislation aims to end "catch and release," impose stricter standards for asylum screenings, and expedite the processing of asylum claims.

However, House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed strong opposition to the proposed bill, describing it as "even worse than we expected." According to Johnson, the legislation fails to address the ongoing border crisis and would be "dead on arrival" in the House of Representatives.

Elon Musk, who has been an outspoken critic of President Joe Biden's handling of the border situation, reiterated his concerns on Friday. Sharing a news headline about Biden's plans to offer legal status to an estimated 11 million people, Musk highlighted what he saw as the president's strategy. "Biden's strategy is very simple," Musk wrote. "1. Get as many illegals in the country as possible. 2. Legalize them to create a permanent majority - a one-party state."

Musk's recent post on social media reiterated his belief that NGOs assisting illegal immigration should face immediate prosecution. The billionaire entrepreneur has consistently drawn attention to the escalating number of illegal immigrants, as highlighted in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) report for fiscal year 2023. The report reveals a significant increase in the number of non-detained illegal immigrants, soaring from 3.7 million in FY 2021 to nearly 4.8 million in FY 2022, and now reaching almost 6.2 million in FY 2023.

As the debate surrounding border security continues, Musk's call for prosecution is likely to fuel further discussions on the topic. The issue of illegal immigration remains a contentious point of contention between those who advocate for stricter border control measures and those who prioritize humanitarian assistance to refugees and entrants.

It remains to be seen how the border bill will progress and whether any revisions will be made to address the concerns raised by Elon Musk and other critics.
