According to a recent survey conducted by Fox News Voter Analysis, former President Donald Trump's presence in the New Hampshire Republican primary has left some hard feelings among voters. The data revealed that a significant 35% of GOP voters indicated that they would be dissatisfied if Trump were to win the Republican nomination and therefore would not vote for him in November's general election.

Notably, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley received overwhelming support from this dissatisfied cohort, with 96% of voters favoring her over Trump, while only 1% still chose to vote for the former president. An additional 11% of respondents expressed their dissatisfaction with a Trump nomination but stated that they would still vote for him come November. Among this group, Trump received the support of 36% while Haley garnered 59%.

On the other hand, the analysis revealed that among the 53% of voters who expressed satisfaction with Trump as the Republican standard-bearer, 94% voted for the former president. These findings indicate a strong base of support for Trump among New Hampshire Republicans.

However, the survey also shed light on the sentiments toward Haley. Should she overcome Trump to secure the Republican nomination, 32% of respondents stated that they would not back her. Of this group, 13% still voted for Haley in the primary regardless. Only 39% of respondents expressed satisfaction with Haley as the GOP nominee, while 26% admitted they would be dissatisfied but would still vote for her.

Former President Trump expressed frustration with New Hampshire's open system, which allows undeclared voters to participate in the Republican primary. He attributed the increased voter turnout to independents who he believed were motivated by a desire to undermine his candidacy.

The survey data also revealed that among GOP voters who identified as independents, 67% favored Haley while 31% supported Trump. Additionally, 10% of voters identified as Democrats or Democrat leaners, with 94% of this group voting for Haley.

In contrast, only 13% of the New Hampshire Democratic primary participants stated that they had no intention of voting for President Joe Biden in November if he is nominated for a second term. Meanwhile, 31% expressed their dissatisfaction with Biden but still planned to vote for him.

The Biden-Harris campaign commented on the survey results, with Deputy Campaign Manager Quentin Fulks highlighting Trump's struggle to win over diverse voters and asserting that his agenda is viewed as toxic by many. The Trump campaign has yet to respond to these findings.

The Fox News Voter Analysis surveyed approximately 2,000 Republican primary participants in New Hampshire between January 17 and 23, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.
