Refugio Jimenez Jr. and Angelina Jimenez have pleaded guilty to multiple charges, with Refugio facing three felonies and Angelina pleading guilty to three misdemeanors, according to San Bernardino County prosecutors.

The charges stem from the tragic incident that occurred in 2020 when a gender reveal party at El Dorado Ranch Park in Yucaipa took a disastrous turn. Cal Fire reported that during scorching hot temperatures, a smoke-generating pyrotechnic device malfunctioned, igniting a massive fire that engulfed an area of approximately 23,000 acres.

The consequences of the fire were devastating. The blaze destroyed 20 buildings, caused the displacement of entire communities, and claimed the life of firefighter Charles Morton. Referring to the extensive impact caused by the defendants' reckless actions, San Bernardino County District Attorney Jason Anderson stated, "Resolving the case was never going to be a win."
