New Delhi: In the latest exit polls conducted by India Today-Axis My India, it is predicted that the Congress party is likely to secure a comfortable victory in Telangana by winning 68 out of the 119 seats in the state. The exit poll results indicate that the ruling party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, may not be able to secure a third consecutive term, with its seat share reducing to just 39.

According to the predictions, both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) are expected to clinch six seats each in the state. These predictions are in line with most other exit polls, which also give a clear majority to the Congress party in Telangana.

Various exit polls have offered different projections for the seat shares. For instance, India TV-CNX forecasted 63-79 seats for Congress, 31-47 for TRS, 2-4 for BJP, and 5-7 for AIMIM. Jan Ki Baat predicted that the Congress would secure 48-64 seats, while TRS would get 40-55 seats. Republic TV-Matrize suggested that the Congress would win 58-68 seats, TRS 46-56, BJP 4-9, and AIMIM 5-9. TV9 Bharatvarsh Polstrat estimated 49-59 seats for Congress and 48-58 seats for TRS. Meanwhile, Today's Chanakya projected a whopping 71 seats for Congress, 33 seats for TRS, and 7 seats for BJP.

If these predictions indeed hold true, it will be a significant boost for the Congress party, following their victory in the state of Karnataka earlier this year. However, TRS has dismissed the exit poll predictions and asserted that they will secure 70 seats in the state. It is important to note that in the 2018 elections, TRS had secured a landslide victory by winning 88 seats in Telangana.

The elections for the five states were conducted between November 7 and November 30, and the final counting of votes will take place on December 3. The outcome of these elections will have a substantial impact on the political landscape of Telangana and the country as a whole.

In conclusion, the latest exit polls indicate a favorable outcome for the Congress party in Telangana, with projections suggesting a significant victory over the ruling TRS. However, the final verdict will be determined on December 3, when the official results are announced.
