In a tragic turn of events following the Kansas City Chiefs Championship parade, charges have been filed against two teenagers in connection to the mass shooting that occurred during the rally. The Jackson County Family Court Division announced on Friday, February 16th, that the juveniles are facing charges related to the incident.

The two teenagers, whose names have not been released due to their status as minors, are currently held in custody at the Juvenile Detention Center. They face charges related to possession of firearms and resisting arrest, with further charges anticipated as the investigation by the Kansas City Police Department progresses.

The shooting, believed to have resulted from an argument between two parties, claimed the life of Lisa Lopez-Galvan. The incident also left 22 others injured, all of whom are now in the process of recovery. On Wednesday, 11 victims were taken to Children's Mercy Hospital, with nine suffering from gunshot wounds. As of Friday, one individual remained hospitalized.

Amidst the tragedy, support for the victims and their families has been pouring in. A GoFundMe page has been established to aid Lisa Lopez-Galvan's family in this difficult time, and it has received a substantial boost from Taylor Swift. The global superstar and girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made a generous donation of $100,000 to assist the grieving family.

While the investigation continues, a third adult who was initially detained in connection with the shooting has been released. The Jackson County Family Court Division has not provided any further details regarding the ongoing case.

As Kansas City mourns the loss of Lisa Lopez-Galvan and prays for the quick recovery of the injured victims, the community stands united in seeking justice for the senseless violence that marred the celebration of their beloved football team.
