SAC COUNTY, Iowa - The authorities in northwest Iowa have announced a $2,000 reward for any information that may lead to locating David Schultz, a Wall Lake resident who has been missing for over a month.

David Schultz, 53, went missing on November 21, 2023. His semi-truck was discovered on a rural highway in northwest Iowa, filled with pigs he was transporting. Since his disappearance, search efforts have covered over 100,000 acres, but there have been no significant leads.

Sarah Schultz, David's wife, expressed her concern, stating that something must have gone wrong. She reported him missing on November 21 after realizing that he never made it to the drop-off location in Sac City, Iowa, as expected.

According to the authorities and witnesses, David was last seen picking up the pigs from a hog confinement near Eagle Grove around 10:50 p.m. on November 20. Surveillance video footage from a truck stop east of Fort Dodge captured him leaving the area in his semi-truck, heading west. However, David never arrived in Sac City with the load of pigs the following day.

Cell phone data analysis revealed that David's phone traveled to a rural intersection north of Sac City. On November 21, authorities found his truck at that intersection, with both his cellphone and wallet still inside.

In an effort to gather any information regarding David's disappearance, the Sac County Sheriff's Office has initiated the offer of a $2,000 reward. They are urging anyone with relevant information to reach out to them at (712) 662-7127 or the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) at (712) 262-1873.

Additionally, the Sac County Crime Stoppers fund has been reorganized. Contributions can now be made directly to the Iowa State Banks in Sac City, Odebolt, and Lake View to support the ongoing investigation.

As the search for David Schultz continues, the authorities remain committed to finding answers and bringing closure to his family and loved ones.
