Severe Weather Team 2 is closely monitoring an incoming arctic blast, which is expected to usher in frigid temperatures to north Georgia over the weekend. According to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan, metro Atlanta is likely to experience dangerously cold weather.

On Saturday morning, temperatures are predicted to plunge to the low teens. To compound the already bone-chilling conditions, a wind chill advisory will be in effect overnight for certain areas within our viewing region. It is advised to take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe during this time.
