Denver, CO - It's that time of year again when winter enthusiasts eagerly await the opening of ski resorts, and Arapahoe Basin has proudly claimed the title of being the first ski area to open for the 2023 season. The excitement is further amplified by the heavy snowfall that has blanketed the metro area.

The Pinpoint Weather team has predicted significant snowfall in the region. As the day progresses, the snow is expected to intensify, with around 6-10 inches of snowfall anticipated. Some areas to the west of Denver may see even higher amounts, with a possibility of over a foot of snow along the foothills.

Tomorrow, Denver residents can expect more snow showers coupled with lower temperatures. The highs are predicted to only reach the upper 20s and lower 30s, with an additional 3 inches of snowfall anticipated. However, the snowfall is expected to taper off by the late morning and early afternoon, although the cold air will persist.

Looking ahead, the weather forecast reveals a slow warm-up starting on Monday. However, it will not be until Wednesday and Thursday that temperatures will finally break into the 50s. Until then, temperatures are expected to remain below average early in the week.

Despite the chilly temperatures, there is optimism on the horizon for outdoor enthusiasts. As the week progresses, the weather will warm up, and clear skies are in store, bringing a sense of relief to those eagerly awaiting the opportunity to hit the slopes.

Winter sports enthusiasts are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions while enjoying the snowy wonders at Arapahoe Basin, the first ski area to brave the winter season.
