Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak experienced a health scare on Wednesday when he suffered a minor stroke while attending a conference in Mexico City. The incident occurred just before he was scheduled to speak at the World Business Forum event on the topic of the "Digital Future," according to reports from ABC News and The New York Times.

Wozniak, who is 73 years old, suddenly felt dizzy and had difficulty walking while typing at his computer. Concerned for his well-being, his wife urged him to seek medical attention. He was promptly taken to the hospital where doctors performed an MRI and diagnosed him with a small capillary leak.

After spending 24 hours in the hospital, Wozniak flew back home to Los Gatos, California, on Thursday. In a statement to The New York Times, he shared that he is now back home and feeling good. However, he expressed discomfort during his hospitalization due to having to remain on a gurney without being able to roll on his side.

Renowned for his role in co-founding Apple Computer in 1976 alongside Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne, Wozniak is revered as an electronics engineer who designed groundbreaking machines such as the Apple 1 and Apple II. These innovations set the stage for the success of Apple, becoming a household name in the late 1970s and shaping the company's future endeavors.

Although Wozniak officially left full-time daily employment at Apple in 1985, he maintained his official employment status with the company and continues to receive a stipend from them. He serves as a goodwill ambassador for Apple following Steve Jobs' passing in 2011.

Wozniak has since dedicated his time to traveling the world and delivering talks on technology. However, due to this recent health scare, he has been forced to cancel speaking engagements in Dubai, Colombia, and Azerbaijan, according to The New York Times. He acknowledged that the cancellation is an unfortunate reality in his busy schedule.

The news of Wozniak's stroke has caused concern among his fans and colleagues. However, with his positive outlook and determination to continue his work, it is likely that he will recover swiftly and resume his influential role in the tech industry.
