A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon as a 95-year-old man, identified as William Hack, passed away from injuries sustained in a crash on I-75. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office confirmed that Hack died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

According to the Evendale Police Chief Tim Holloway, the crash took place just after 1 p.m when Hack was driving south on I-75. As Hack attempted to enter the exit ramp for Shepherd Lane, he inadvertently tried to re-enter I-75 from the exit ramp. In doing so, his vehicle collided with an impact attenuator at the start of the ramp, causing it to spin out. Several other drivers heading south on the highway subsequently struck Hack's vehicle.

Hack was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with severe injuries. Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries later on.

Following the incident, the highway was temporarily closed for investigation and cleanup purposes. However, by 4 p.m. that afternoon, I-75 was reopened to regular traffic.

The loss of a life in this unfortunate crash serves as a reminder of the importance of cautious driving and adherence to traffic regulations. As authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, it is crucial for motorists to remain vigilant on the roads and prioritize safety.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and loved ones of William Hack during this difficult time.
