### WWE Crown Jewel 2024: A Spectacle of Wrestling Action in Saudi Arabia

WWE continues its tradition of captivating international audiences with its eighth premium live event of the year, Crown Jewel 2024. Recognized as a cornerstone of WWE's autumn schedule, Crown Jewel returns to Saudi Arabia for the sixth time since its debut in 2018. With seven thrilling matches on the roster, this year’s event promises to be the grandest since SummerSlam in August.

The marquee bouts feature inter-brand showdowns that have the wrestling world abuzz. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will battle World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, while Women's Champion Nia Jax faces off against Women's World Champion Liv Morgan. Victors in these headlining matchups will not only claim supremacy but also take home the newly introduced Crown Jewel title.

The event also includes the defense of the United States Championship and the Women's Tag Team Championships. Adding more heat to the lineup are three intense singles matches, including an eagerly anticipated clash between the old Bloodline and the new Bloodline.

The night began with Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky reviving their heated rivalry, reminiscent of their showdown at Backlash in 2023. Damage CTRL initially dominated the match, despite a minor slip during a turnbuckle maneuver. The intensity escalated as Kairi Sane and Sky executed an impressive InSane Elbow and Over the Moonsault combination. Though Piper Niven mistakenly struck her own teammate Chelsea Green, it provided Belair and her partner the opportunity to retain their titles with a Doomsday Device.

Next in the ring were the dynamic members of the old Bloodline and the new Bloodline. Jey Uso quickly brought his brother into action, and the twin duo gained an early upper hand, forcing Solo Sikoa's team to regroup. However, tensions within the old Bloodline surfaced when Jey Uso refrained from tagging in Roman Reigns, allowing the new Bloodline to seize the offensive. Momentum swung back and forth until Reigns and Sikoa faced off in an electrifying exchange.

Reigns sought to close the match with his signature Superman Punch and spear, but Sikoa countered with a Samoan Spike. A potential pin by Sikoa was interrupted by Jimmy Uso, causing chaos to spill out of the ring. With the referee momentarily distracted, the new Bloodline capitalized, and Sikoa delivered multiple Samoan Spikes to secure the victory over Reigns. The new Bloodline's dominance was further solidified with a post-match assault, only interrupted by the unexpected appearance of Sami Zayn.

Zayn’s surprise intervention brought a brief respite for the old Bloodline, even though a mistakenly aimed helluva kick at Sikoa hit Reigns instead, leading to a heated exchange and Zayn’s departure in confusion. This encounter hints at the likelihood of a WarGames match at the upcoming Survivor Series, as the rival factions gear up for a climactic showdown.

Fans can catch Crown Jewel 2024 live from Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, streaming on Peacock for premium subscribers or internationally on WWE Network.
