Winter Storm Blankets Delaware Valley with Snow, Varies in Accumulations

An overnight winter storm swept through the Delaware Valley, leaving a wintry blanket across the region. According to the National Weather Service, Philadelphia received 3.5 inches of snow by early Saturday morning, with higher accumulations in surrounding counties like Chester and Delaware.

Moving northwards, snow totals increased, with Montgomery County reporting 5 inches in Pennsburg and Bucks County seeing over a foot in Kintersville. The heaviest snowfall was experienced in areas further north and west, with Berks County and Lehigh counties receiving over a foot of snow. The storm's intensity was emphasized by snow bands producing up to 4 inches per hour at one point overnight.

In New Jersey, snow accumulations were comparable to Pennsylvania, with Camden and Burlington counties receiving more than 4 inches of snow. Gloucester and Atlantic counties recorded approximately 3 inches, while Mercer County measured between 4-6 inches.

Delaware also saw snowfall from the storm, with 3.5 inches in New Castle County and almost 2 inches in parts of Kent County. The winter storm varied in intensity across the Delaware Valley, with some areas experiencing heavier snowfall than others.
