White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has emphasized that Ukraine still has the potential to emerge victorious in the war against Russia, provided it receives necessary aid and support. During an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday, Sullivan highlighted the importance of Congress approving the aid package that recently passed the Senate with a significant bipartisan vote.

The aid package, totaling about $60 billion, aims to provide Ukraine with essential resources to continue its resistance against Russian forces. Despite recent setbacks, such as the retreat of Ukrainian forces from the strategic city of Avdiivka due to ammunition shortages, Sullivan remains confident in Ukraine's ability to prevail in the conflict.

Sullivan stressed the urgency for the House to pass the aid package promptly, as time is of the essence in supporting Ukraine's defense efforts. The Senate had already advanced the aid package earlier this month, but the House's two-week recess has delayed approval and delivery of crucial assistance to Ukraine.

"It is up to the United States and our allies and partners to fulfill our commitments and provide Ukraine with the tools and resources they need to succeed in this war," Sullivan reiterated. The White House underlines the critical role that the U.S. and its allies play in ensuring Ukraine's ability to effectively combat Russian aggression.
