In a stunning display of speed and skill, athlete Walsh has made history in the women's 50 free event. Not only did Walsh become the first woman to go under 20.8 multiple times, but she also achieved the impressive feat of going under 21 seconds for the 8th time in a flat-start event, setting a record for the most such swims by any women's swimmer in history.

Despite being the last one off the blocks in her morning race, Walsh's exceptional performance highlighted her remarkable talent. With a reaction time of 0.75 seconds, the slowest amongst the 'A' final qualifiers, Walsh's speed and determination were truly unmatched.

This morning's swim marks another outstanding achievement for Walsh, who has already turned heads in previous races at the meet. Setting a blazing pace in her 200 free relay with a time of 1:40.23 and an astonishing 47.15 split on the first 100, Walsh has showcased her exceptional abilities in the pool.

Looking ahead to the finals, Walsh will have the opportunity to further lower her records and solidify her place in swimming history. With at least one more chance to compete, she aims to continue her exceptional performances and potentially go under 21 seconds for the 10th time in her career.
