**Vikings Secure Narrow Victory Over Jaguars Despite Dominating Stats**

In a game where the Minnesota Vikings appeared to dominate on paper, they narrowly edged out a victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars, winning 12-7. Despite outgaining the Jaguars 402-143 yards, acquiring 18 more first downs, and holding the ball for over 41 minutes, the Vikings struggled to close out the game until the final moments.

Running back Aaron Jones was halted short of a first down in the final minute, but the Vikings were rescued by a critical unnecessary roughness penalty called on Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker. This allowed the Vikings to kneel and secure their seventh win of the season.

Red zone inefficiency plagued the Vikings throughout the game. They failed to score a touchdown on all five of their visits inside the Jaguars' 20-yard line. Quarterback Sam Darnold's performance was a mixed bag; he threw two interceptions in the red zone and ended up with three picks overall. Nevertheless, kicker Parker Romo, making his regular-season debut, converted three crucial field goals in the second half.

The Jaguars' chances of a comeback were undermined by quarterback Mac Jones’ mistakes. Making his first start for Jacksonville, Jones completed 14 of 20 passes for 111 yards but fumbled a snap and threw three interceptions. These errors led to two of Romo’s field goals and sealed the Jaguars' fate.

The loss drops Jacksonville to a 2-8 record as they prepare for an away game against Detroit next week. With a bye in Week 12 looming, another defeat could put head coach Doug Pederson's job in jeopardy.

For the Vikings, Darnold completed 24 of 38 passes for 241 yards. Aaron Jones contributed 88 rushing yards despite a brief exit due to a chest injury. Tight end T.J. Hockenson was a standout, catching eight passes, while the Jaguars' defense focused on containing star wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Though Jefferson was effectively neutralized, the Vikings managed to emerge victorious.

Minnesota will aim to improve to 8-3 in their upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans next Sunday.
