The Minnesota Vikings showcased a dominant performance against the Houston Texans on Sunday, emerging victorious with a commanding 34-7 win in a clash between undefeated teams. The game started off in favor of the Vikings right from the beginning, with a notable interception of Texans' quarterback C.J. Stroud on the very first play from scrimmage. Stroud struggled throughout the game, throwing two interceptions and enduring four sacks, three of which were made by former Texans' edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, who had joined the Vikings as a free agent in the offseason.

Quarterback Sam Darnold outshone Stroud, exhibiting a strong performance by completing 17 of 28 passes for 181 yards and an impressive four touchdowns. Meanwhile, Stroud managed to connect on 20 of 31 passes for 215 yards and a single touchdown. Furthermore, Aaron Jones played a pivotal role in the Vikings' offensive lineup, rushing for 102 yards on 19 carries and adding another 46 receiving yards with a touchdown. Wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Jalen Nailor also made significant contributions, with Jefferson catching six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown, while Nailor secured three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown.

Former Texan Stefon Diggs made his presence felt by catching 10 passes for 94 yards against his former team, while Nico Collins of the Texans added four catches totaling 86 yards. The Texans experienced significant struggles throughout the game, accumulating 11 accepted penalties amounting to 88 yards, including a run of four consecutive penalties at one stage in the matchup. The Vikings' defense, led by standout performances from Jonathan Greenard and Danielle Hunter, played a pivotal role in securing the resounding victory.
