Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing is seemingly unstoppable as he claimed yet another victory at the action-packed Chinese Grand Prix. The race, marred by crashes and safety car interventions, highlighted Verstappen's exceptional skill and control on the track.
Team manager Christian Horner praised Verstappen's remarkable performance, describing him as racing "on another planet." Horner commended Verstappen's seamless connection with his car, his unbelievable feel and empathy, and his unparalleled racing intelligence. It is almost otherworldly what Verstappen is capable of achieving, making history in the process.
Verstappen's dominance this season has been extraordinary. With the exception of the Australian Grand Prix where he was forced to retire, he has emerged victorious in every race. This carries on from his record-breaking season last year, where he conquered 19 out of the 22 races.
At the Chinese Grand Prix, Verstappen demonstrated his superiority by crossing the finish line almost 14 seconds ahead of Lando Norris from McLaren, who secured his 15th career podium in second place. Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez secured third place.
Verstappen's commanding lead throughout the race shielded him from the chaos that unfolded behind him. The disruptive events included a Virtual Safety Car turning into a full Safety Car due to Valtteri Bottas' engine failure and the subsequent difficulty in removing his car from the track. Just before the restart, another incident occurred, as Lance Stroll from Aston Martin collided with Daniel Ricciardo from Red Bull Racing, prompting yet another Safety Car intervention.
Reflecting on the race, Verstappen expressed his satisfaction with the handling of his car, describing it as being "on rails." He felt in complete control and relished the opportunity to exhibit his driving prowess. Verstappen's triumph at the Chinese Grand Prix added to his already victorious weekend, where he had clinched the sprint race from the fourth position on the starting grid.
As Verstappen continues to dominate the Formula One circuit, rival teams are left to ponder his relentless proficiency and seemingly indestructible winning streak. With every race, Verstappen solidifies his place as one of the sport's greatest talents, leaving his competitors in awe of his exceptional skills and racing prowess.
