**United States Secures Another Presidents Cup Victory, Dominating International Team**
The United States has achieved yet another impressive win in the Presidents Cup, solidifying its dominance in this biennial event by overpowering the International team. This victory marks the 13th time out of 15 competitions that the U.S. has claimed the Cup, continuing a two-decade-long streak of supremacy.
Sunday's matches at Royal Montreal Golf Club saw Xander Schauffele set the tone with a commanding singles-match performance, defeating former World No. 1, Jason Day, 4&3. A few matches later, Keegan Bradley, who will captain the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 2025, clinched the winning point in a hard-fought contest against Si Woo Kim.
The U.S. team entered the final day with a strong 11-to-7 lead, built on a powerful five-match sweep on Thursday followed by two 3-1 victories on Saturday. Needing only four and a half points to secure the 2024 Cup, the American team demonstrated its strength from the very first match of the day.
Although Jason Day initially took a 1UP lead over Schauffele, the American quickly regained his footing, tying the match by the fourth hole and then winning five consecutive holes to take a commanding 5UP lead by the turn. Schauffele concluded the match on the 15th hole and finished the week with a record of 4-1-0, earning four points overall for Team USA.
Other matches saw a mix of results. Sam Burns and Tom Kim tied, giving each team half a point. The Internationals had some bright spots, with Hideki Matsuyama defeating World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler 1UP, and Corey Conners outplaying Tony Finau, 5&3. Nevertheless, victories from Russell Henley (3&2 over Sungjae Im) and Patrick Cantlay (3&1 over Taylor Pendrith) brought the United States within a single point of securing the Cup.
Keegan Bradley then delivered the decisive blow, winning his match against Si Woo Kim 1UP on the 18th hole. Bradley, who has been vocal about his passion for team match play, experienced a career resurgence this year. Though he was left out of last year's Ryder Cup, he was later named the captain for next year's event and performed admirably in Jim Furyk's squad this year.
As the United States continues its overwhelming dominance in the Presidents Cup, winning 12 of the past 14 competitions, there is some speculation about the future competitiveness of the event. However, for now, the American team's reign appears unchallenged, at least until the next Presidents Cup at Medinah Golf Club in 2026.
