In a surprising turn of events at UFC Fight Night in Macau, fighter Feng Xiaocan was stretchered out after a brutal knockout. Xiaocan, heavily favored before the match with odds of -425, faced a tough opponent in Shi Ming, who entered as a +330 underdog. The intense women's strawweight bout reached its climax in the third round when Ming landed a powerful leg kick to Xiaocan's head.
The impact of the kick floored Xiaocan, prompting Ming to follow up with a couple of punches before the referee intervened to halt the match. Ming, visibly emotional, expressed both joy and concern during her post-fight interview with former UFC fighter Michael Bisping. "I feel really happy and I worry about my opponent," Ming stated, as reported by MMA Junkie. "I hope she is OK. She is young.... I think I'm going to be a dangerous opponent in the future. Good luck to my next opponent."
MMA site Sherdog later provided a reassuring update on Xiaocan’s condition. They reported that she had been transported to a hospital, where she regained arm movement and was alert, although she could not recall the events leading to her knockout. If cleared by the hospital, Xiaocan will undergo concussion protocols at UFC Performance Institute in Shanghai.
UFC spokesperson Chris Bellitti has yet to provide additional updates regarding Xiaocan’s condition. The shocking upset has the MMA community buzzing, as Shi Ming's decisive win positions her as a formidable contender in future matchups.
