In a surprising turn of events, UFC CEO Dana White expressed his bewilderment over fighter Merab Dvalishvili's decision to share a video of his facial laceration on social media. Dvalishvili sustained the injury 25 days before his scheduled UFC 306 title challenge against Sean O'Malley.

White, known for his outspoken nature, did not mince his words during the Dana White's Contender Series 68 post-fight news conference on Tuesday. He criticized his own team for leaking the footage, even going as far as complimenting the boxing industry for its discretion and professionalism when handling similar situations.

"The whole world knows about Merab's cut," admitted White while addressing the media, including MMA Junkie. "Our guys are so dumb, it's next-level unbelievable. All the stuff I talk about boxing, what I will give boxing, is when something happens in a camp, man, let me tell you what. It does not leak. Our guys can't f*cking wait to throw it up on social media."

White's frustration stemmed from the fact that Dvalishvili's video gained significant traction, leading to unnecessary speculation about the fighter's readiness for the upcoming bout. However, the UFC CEO acknowledged that the cut was a minor issue and assured fans that it would not jeopardize the highly anticipated UFC 306 event, also known as Noche UFC.

Despite White's scathing remarks, Dvalishvili and his manager, Oren Hodak, reiterated that the fight would proceed as planned. In an attempt to ease concerns, Dvalishvili shared on Instagram Live that he was already back in the gym for his third training session of the day.

UFC 306, set to take place on September 14, will mark the promotion's debut at Sphere in Las Vegas. The main event will showcase the clash between Merab Dvalishvili, boasting a record of 17-4 MMA and 10-2 UFC, and Sean O'Malley, with an impressive record of 18-1 MMA and 10-1 UFC.

While tensions may be high due to Dvalishvili's ill-advised social media post, fans eagerly anticipate an exhilarating showdown between the two skilled fighters, ready to witness the outcome of this highly anticipated UFC matchup.
