**Deadline Approaching for Oracle Settlement Claims: $115 Million Fund Awaits Eligible Individuals**

The window to file a claim for a portion of Oracle’s $115 million settlement fund is closing soon, with the deadline set for Thursday, Oct. 17 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The settlement addresses allegations that Oracle violated privacy laws by selling individuals’ personal information to third-party entities.

Oracle, a leading technology company in the U.S., primarily operates in the background, providing critical software for various sectors. Their software is utilized by banks to manage customer databases, by hospitals for patient record storage, and by retail businesses for inventory and sales tracking. The lawsuit contends that Oracle monitored personal information from these databases, including individuals’ search histories, purchase behaviors, and locations.

The legal action argues that Oracle profited from the sale of this personal information to other companies without users' consent, given the lack of a direct relationship between Oracle and the individuals whose data was collected. Despite Oracle's position that it did not engage in any wrongdoing, the company has agreed to settle the lawsuit with a $115 million payout.

To be eligible for a piece of the settlement, individuals must have resided in the U.S. at any time since August 19, 2018, and their personal data must have been collected or made available for sale through Oracle’s advertising technologies and services. This includes data sourced or distributed via their ID Graph, Data Marketplace, or any Oracle Advertising product.

While some affected individuals were directly notified by email, others who meet the criteria can still file a claim by submitting a form with their personal details. If a claim is validated, the payment will be issued via prepaid debit card, direct deposit, Venmo, or Zelle, following the final court approval of the settlement. The final approval hearing is scheduled for November 14, and potential appeals or objections could cause delays in the payment distribution.

As the deadline rapidly approaches, eligible participants are encouraged to submit their claims promptly to secure their portion of the settlement fund.
