Eight of the injured passengers were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, flight QR017, landed safely at Dublin Airport as scheduled before 1 p.m. (1200 GMT). Upon landing, emergency services, including airport police and the fire and rescue department, were dispatched to the aircraft. The response was initiated due to reports from six passengers and six crew members who had experienced injuries after the plane encountered turbulence while flying over Turkey.

Dublin Airport confirmed that all passengers were assessed for injuries while still aboard the aircraft, and eight of them were subsequently transported to the hospital. Qatar Airways released a statement acknowledging that a small number of passengers and crew sustained minor injuries during the flight and are currently receiving medical attention. The airline stated that an internal investigation into the matter is now underway.

This incident occurred just five days after a Singapore Airlines flight from London experienced severe turbulence, resulting in the death of a British man due to a suspected heart attack and injuries to several passengers. While fatalities caused by turbulence are rare, instances of injuries have been accumulating over the years. Meteorologists and aviation analysts have pointed out that reports of turbulence encounters have been on the rise, which raises concerns about the potential impact climate change may have on flying conditions.

As investigations continue, it is crucial for aviation authorities to emphasize the importance of passenger safety and take necessary measures to address the potential risks posed by turbulence in today's changing climate.
