A dramatic weekend in college football led to significant changes in the AP Top 25 rankings, with seven top-25 teams, including two top-10 teams, falling to unranked opponents. Alabama and Ole Miss experienced their third losses of the season, significantly affecting the College Football Playoff scenario and the SEC championship race.

Indiana, the only top-five team to stumble on Saturday, lost 38-15 to No. 2 Ohio State. Entering the weekend, experts believed Indiana needed to avoid a blowout defeat due to their weak schedule strength. Few, however, anticipated the level of chaos that unfolded.

Georgia climbed in the rankings and secured a spot in the SEC Championship Game, heading into their regular-season finale. Texas and Texas A&M will face off in Week 14 to determine the other finalist for the SEC title game against Georgia.

Oregon, victorious against Wisconsin, improved to 11-0, becoming the last undefeated team in college football. This win guaranteed them a place in the Big Ten Championship Game. Ohio State, with a win over Indiana, also stands a chance to secure a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game against Oregon if they defeat Michigan in their upcoming match.

Texas maintained its position as the lone one-loss team in the SEC, powered by a dominant defensive performance and 251 rushing yards. They will need to beat Texas A&M to ensure a place in the SEC Championship Game. Penn State managed to edge out a narrow win against Minnesota, keeping their road game record unblemished.

Notre Dame secured a significant win over Army, enhancing their point differential leading position in the FBS. Georgia extended their home winning streak with a blowout victory over UMass and assured themselves a seat in the SEC Championship Game.

Other notable games include Tennessee’s crushing win over UTEP, Miami’s dominant performance against Wake Forest, and SMU's clinching of a conference championship berth with a victory over Virginia.

The weekend's results also saw Alabama's playoff hopes dashed by a loss to Oklahoma and Ole Miss’s upset defeat to Florida. South Carolina surged into playoff consideration with a victory over Wofford, while Iowa State and Boise State secured crucial wins.

BYU’s strong start to the season continued to unravel with a second consecutive loss, this time to Arizona State. Meanwhile, Texas A&M still remains in the SEC championship picture despite their loss to Auburn, and Illinois made a noteworthy comeback to defeat Rutgers.

The shake-ups reflect a thrilling and unpredictable nature of college football as several teams face crucial matchups in the upcoming week that will further shape the postseason landscape.
