Trump Launches Easter Tirade Targeting Prosecutors and Judges

In a fiery Easter Sunday message posted on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump embarked on a lengthy rant, accusing various prosecutors and judges of obstructing his potential 2024 re-election campaign. Trump spared no words as he criticized his targets for allegedly derailing his political ambitions and even suggested a conspiracy involving the Manhattan District Attorney and the Department of Justice.
Trump began his 166-word tirade by wishing everyone a Happy Easter but quickly shifted gears, calling out what he considers "crooked and corrupt" prosecutors and judges. Among his primary targets were Special Counsel Jack Smith, who has indicted Trump twice on federal charges, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is currently prosecuting him for alleged election interference in Georgia.
However, it was Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg who received the brunt of Trump's denouncements. The former president accused Bragg of colluding with the Department of Justice of President Joe Biden to indict him in the upcoming hush-money trial involving payments to Stormy Daniels. It should be noted that Trump provided no evidence to support this claim.
The hush-money trial is slated to begin on April 15, and Trump's outburst comes just days after Bragg requested an expansion of the gag order placed on the former president. The gag order prevents Trump from attacking court staff, prosecutors, and their families. Whether the presiding judge, who has also faced Trump's criticism, will tighten the restrictions on the former president remains uncertain.
With his Easter message taking a notably bitter tone, Trump concluded his diatribe with a succinct, "Happy Easter, everyone." The former president's social media posts have often been a platform for his grievances against the legal system, and this latest outburst indicates that the battles continue as he prepares for a potential return to the political stage in 2024.
