Tragic Death of Child at Wild Rivers Water Park in Irvine, California

Authorities have confirmed that the incident was not water-related. The identity of the child has not been released.
According to a statement from Irvine Police, officers and the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the incident at the water park on Saturday. The park officials stated that the boy experienced a non-water, but medical-related incident outside of a pool.
The boy was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, but sadly, he later passed away. Initially, the park statement stated that the boy was 12 years old, but his mother has informed Nexstar's KSWB that he was actually 11 years old.
