**Tracking Potential Hurricane Sara: Forecasters Eye Growing System in Caribbean**

Meteorologists at the National Hurricane Center are closely monitoring a developing weather system in the Caribbean that may intensify into Hurricane Sara next week. On Wednesday morning, the hurricane center released an advisory highlighting a "broad area of low pressure" in the central Caribbean Sea, which is currently generating extensive showers and thunderstorms. Forecasters believe the environmental conditions are favorable for further development.

This developing system was designated as Invest 99L on Tuesday afternoon. The National Hurricane Center stated, "A tropical depression is likely to form within the next couple of days as the system drifts slowly westward into the western Caribbean Sea." They further indicated that the disturbance might experience additional development while remaining in the western Caribbean through the weekend.

Experts predict the system will begin to move northwestward by early next week, advising those in the western and northwestern Caribbean to stay informed about its progress. Regardless of its development into a hurricane, heavy rainfall is anticipated over Jamaica in the coming days.

AccuWeather senior meteorologist Alex Sosnowski noted the possibility of a hurricane impacting Florida next week. Bernie Rayno, AccuWeather's Chief On-Air Meteorologist, explained that low wind shear and warm waters in the Caribbean are conducive to the system’s organization into a tropical storm. “Showers and thunderstorms are already consolidating, indicating the system may soon evolve into a tropical storm,” he said.

AccuWeather Lead Hurricane Expert Alex DaSilva added that the system could rapidly become a major hurricane, affecting various land areas based on its speed and early track. The development trajectory might be significantly influenced by a high-pressure dome along the southern Atlantic coast of the United States.

AccuWeather meteorologists strongly recommend vigilance from regions in Central America, including Nicaragua to Belize, southeastern Mexico, Cuba, the Cayman Islands, Florida, and the Bahamas as the system progresses. The hurricane center relies on leading forecast models to make accurate predictions.
