Tornado Strikes Garner Industries in Lancaster County, Injuring Three Workers

In a dramatic turn of events, Garner Industries, a business located near N 98th Street and Cornhusker Highway between Lincoln and Waverly, was hit by a tornado on Friday afternoon. The facility, where 70 workers were present at the time, collapsed due to the powerful forces of nature.
Lancaster County Chief Deputy Ben Houchin confirmed the occurrence, stating that the tornado struck Garner Industries around 3 p.m., leaving several individuals trapped inside the collapsed building. Thankfully, emergency services swiftly responded to the scene and were able to rescue all those who were trapped. Three workers sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals, where they are receiving medical care. The good news is that they are expected to recover.
