**Mason Rudolph to Start for Titans Against Bills; Will Levis Sidelined**
Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph is set to start for the Tennessee Titans when they face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. This decision comes after a shoulder injury sidelined starting quarterback Will Levis, confirmed by a source to ESPN.
Levis injured his right shoulder while diving for a first down during the Week 4 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The injury has been diagnosed as a Grade 2 AC sprain, which could keep Levis off the field for up to five weeks. Although he has a history of playing through injuries, the team will assess him on a week-to-week basis.
The Titans have also elevated Trevor Siemian from the practice squad for Sunday's game. Siemian will return to the practice squad following the matchup against the Bills.
Will Levis participated in the team’s Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts but admitted that the shoulder injury impeded some of his throws. One such restricted throw led to an interception by Colts safety Julian Blackmon. Levis was initially limited in Wednesday’s practice but was later upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. He shared practice reps with Rudolph on Friday before being listed as questionable.
Rudolph, a seven-year NFL veteran, proved himself capable against the Dolphins when he stepped in for Levis, leading the Titans to a 31-12 victory. During that game, he threw for 85 yards, contributing to the team's first win of the season and their first 30-plus point game since January 2, 2022.
In additional roster moves, the Titans have placed wide receiver Treylon Burks on injured reserve and promoted defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson from the practice squad to the active roster.
NFL reporter Paul Kuharsky was the first to report the news of Rudolph's start.
