### Tigers' Decisive Game 5 Against Guardians Rescheduled for Early Afternoon Start
The highly anticipated Game 5 of the ALDS between the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians has been rescheduled to an earlier time. Originally planned for a 4:08 p.m. start, and later shifted to an 8:08 p.m. primetime slot, the game will now commence at 1:08 p.m. This change follows the New York Yankees' victory over the Kansas City Royals, which concluded their ALDS series in four games, prompting TBS to adjust the game timing.
This alteration marks the earliest start time in the Tigers' postseason journey thus far. The shift means Detroit fans won't have to wait long to see if their team can clinch the series by defeating the Guardians for the third time and progressing to the ALCS, where they would face the Yankees.
Game 4 saw its ups and downs for the Tigers, who initially led 3-2 by the bottom of the sixth inning. However, their advantage was short-lived as David Fry's home run in the seventh inning put the Guardians ahead 4-3. Despite the Tigers' persistent efforts, with runners on base in the following innings, they could only tie the game once, ultimately succumbing to a 5-4 loss.
On the positive side, the Tigers will have their ace pitcher, Tarik Skubal, taking the mound in Game 5. Additionally, Jake Rogers, who recently underwent an X-ray on his left wrist after sustaining multiple foul tips, is confirmed to play, bolstering the team's confidence and lineup.
