Less than a month before the highly anticipated athletics competition at the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris, USA Track & Field (USATF) has unveiled a formidable roster of over 100 athletes who will represent the United States at the renowned Stade de France in Saint Denis. With an impressive track record of success, Team USATF aims to build on past victories and continue their legacy of dominance on the international stage.

Having clinched a remarkable 33 medals at the Oregon22 and 29 at Budapest last summer, including 12 gold, Team USATF stood atop the medals table on both occasions. The American athletes also made a strong statement at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021, securing 26 medals, with seven of them being gold.

Leading the charge on the men's side is Ryan Crouser, a two-time shot put gold medalist and world record holder, who will be spearheading the team's efforts. Meanwhile, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, fresh off her fifth world record, tops the women's roster as the 400 hurdles world record holder.

These seasoned athletes will be joined by four reigning Olympic champions. Katie Moon, the defending women's pole vault champion, aims to retain her title, while Valarie Allman sets her sights on a second consecutive gold in the women's discus. Noah Lyles, who swept the men's 100 and 200 at the Budapest World Championships, will be seeking individual glory once again and playing a vital role in the relay events.

Other notable athletes included in the squad are Ryan Crouser and Katie Moon, both gold medalists at Budapest, as well as Sha'Carri Richardson, the women's 100 champion who also contributed to Team USATF's gold in the 4x100 relay. Grant Holloway, a three-time world champion in the men's 110 hurdles, looks to improve upon his silver medal performance in Tokyo and secure his first Olympic gold.

Returning medalists from Tokyo, such as Rai Benjamin, the men's 400 hurdles American record holder, and sprint stars Fred Kerley and Kenny Bednarek, are expected to make strong medal-contending appearances in the 100 and 200 events. Field eventers Joe Kovacs and Chris Nilsen, with their wealth of international experience, also bring formidable skills to the team.

Raven Saunders, the Tokyo silver medalist in women's shot put, and Gabby Thomas, who claimed the silver in the women's 200 at Budapest and secured bronze in Tokyo, are additional key athletes who will be aiming for greatness in their respective events.

With the Paris Olympic Games just around the corner, Team USATF is poised to make a resounding impact and uphold their proud legacy of success on the world stage. The exceptional talent, experience, and hunger for victory displayed by these athletes make for an exciting and closely watched competition that fans across the globe eagerly anticipate.
