In a recent edition of the popular game show Strands, contestants were faced with a unique challenge centered around a tea-themed puzzle titled "It's in the Bag." For those who aren't avid tea enthusiasts, the task proved to be quite tricky. However, with some clever clue-solving and a little help from tea-drinking partners, the players were able to conquer the puzzle.
One clue proved to be a turning point for the contestants. Once the word "CHAI" was revealed, they immediately recognized that the puzzle revolved around tea bags. Armed with this realization, they set out to uncover various tea-related words using the given letters.
The first word that was formed was "TEATIME," which stretched across the middle of the board from left to right. This discovery encouraged the players to continue their search for other tea varieties. They soon stumbled upon "CHAMOMILE," which was neatly tucked in the bottom left-hand corner of the puzzle. The presence of multiple 'O's in the bottom right-hand side led them to believe that "OOLONG" was also among the hidden words, and they successfully found its place in the puzzle.
Only one word, "JASMINE," remained to be found in the bottom half of the board. Moving to the top half, the contestants quickly identified "MATCHA" spelled backwards from right to left. Finally, "GUNPOWDER" proved to be the last word remaining, though it was unfamiliar to some participants.
While the tea-themed puzzle presented an interesting challenge for the contestants, it also highlighted the enjoyment that can be derived from being a tea enthusiast. For those who were not familiar with the various types of tea, the task may have been a bit less exciting. Nevertheless, the players persevered and showcased their problem-solving skills.
For those who missed the live broadcast, a full article with the answers and solutions to game #104 can be found on the Strands website. Whether one is a tea drinker or not, the tea-themed puzzle offered an entertaining and thought-provoking gaming experience for all participants involved.
