Taylor Swift, the globally renowned pop icon and girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has officially kicked off the final segment of her "Eras Tour" in Canada. The tour's Canadian finale began on Thursday night, with Swift revealing why she chose Canada for her closing performances.

The 34-year-old singer had previously concluded the U.S. portion of her tour in Indianapolis, Indiana. At that time, she expressed her desire to end in a place where the fans are "incredible, dedicated, generous, passionate, and fun." During her performance at Rogers Centre, the home stadium of MLB team Toronto Blue Jays, Swift reiterated this sentiment to the audience, emphasizing the significant role the fanbase played in her decision.

The Canadian leg of the "Eras Tour" consists of nine shows, beginning with Thursday's performance. After her six-night stint in Toronto, Swift will travel to Vancouver for three additional shows. By the end of the tour, she will have performed a grand total of 152 shows across 54 cities worldwide.
