Suspect in Murder of Husband, Analiesa Golde, Found Dead After Month-Long Manhunt

In a tragic turn of events, Analiesa Golde, the Portland woman suspected in the murder of her husband, 37-year-old Phillip E. Pierce, was found dead on Tuesday in Long Beach, Washington. Golde's body was discovered with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound near the coastal town in southwest Washington. Alongside her body, Golde's Toyota 4Runner was also recovered.
The investigation into Phillip E. Pierce's death began on January 26 when police responded to a call about a missing person at a home in the 9300 block of Southeast Sun Crest Drive in Portland. Upon entering the residence, authorities found Pierce deceased under "suspicious" circumstances. It was later revealed that Pierce had succumbed to a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide.
Analiesa Golde, who was subsequently named a suspect in her husband's murder, had been on the run since the incident. Authorities expanded the search for Golde to southwest Washington on February 6 and warned the public that she should be considered armed and dangerous.
