### Suns Edge Mavericks in Nail-Biting 114-113 Victory

The Phoenix Suns clinched another thrilling win by narrowly defeating the Dallas Mavericks 114-113 at the American Airlines Center. This victory extends their streak to 5-0 in games decided by four points or fewer.

The game reached a dramatic conclusion when Jusuf Nurkic made the second of two free throws with just 0.8 seconds remaining, following the sixth foul on Dallas’ Daniel Gafford. Luka Doncic attempted a last-second 38-foot shot to save the Mavericks, but it fell short.

Kevin Durant led the Suns with 26 points, while every Phoenix starter contributed double-digit points. Royce O'Neale provided a critical boost from the bench, scoring 18 points on perfect 4-for-4 shooting from beyond the arc. Nurkic, who recorded his third consecutive double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, scored the last five points for Phoenix, including the decisive free throw.

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving carried Dallas with 30 and 29 points, respectively. However, the Mavericks struggled with bench production, managing only nine bench points compared to 28 from Phoenix.

The matchup featured 15 ties and 15 lead changes, exhibiting a highly competitive spirit. Phoenix was without Ryan Dunn, sidelined by a left ankle sprain, while Devin Booker played despite an illness and Bradley Beal suited up with a right elbow sprain.

In contrast, Dallas missed Dante Exum, Maxi Kleber, Dereck Lively II, and P.J. Washington, all due to various injuries.

Phoenix holds a seven-game winning streak, the second-longest active streak in the NBA. They trail only the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers. Coming off significant wins within close margins, the Suns have showcased clutch performances, maintaining high composure during critical moments under the leadership of coach Mike Budenholzer.

Budenholzer’s strategic calls, particularly during timeouts, have been pivotal. One standout moment came when Bradley Beal nailed a crucial three-pointer to reduce Dallas' lead, triggering a momentum shift that led to Phoenix overtaking the Mavericks.

Royce O’Neale emerged as an X-factor, demonstrating remarkable accuracy from three-point range and contributing substantially both offensively and defensively. His timely plays and high shooting percentage underscore the depth and versatility of the Suns.

Phoenix now looks ahead to continue their winning form as they face the Sacramento Kings at home, aiming to extend their impressive streak.
