Warner Bros Games' latest release, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, has failed to meet the expectations of fans and critics alike. Set in the "Arkhamverse," the open-world looter shooter game from Rocksteady has faced criticism for its repetitive missions and lackluster story, despite its fun gameplay elements.

The game, available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, saw an all-time peak of 13,459 players since its launch, with the average concurrent player count hovering over 1,000. However, these numbers suggest a dwindling interest in the game among players.

While Rocksteady has promised to introduce new content including missions, characters, and story expansions - with the first year of updates being free - it remains uncertain whether players will continue engaging with the game. The disappointment surrounding Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has even driven players back to the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Knight.

With the future of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League hanging in the balance, Rocksteady will need to make significant improvements to the game to retain player interest in the coming months. Whether the availability of crossplay multiplayer will attract a higher player count across PlayStation and Xbox platforms remains to be seen.
