**Steph Curry to Miss Two Games Due to Ankle Injury; Re-Evaluation Set for Friday**

Golden State Warriors fans received concerning news as star player Steph Curry is set to miss the team’s next two games following an ankle injury sustained in Sunday’s 112-104 loss to the LA Clippers. An MRI confirmed a left peroneal strain, but fortunately, there is no structural damage.

Curry’s injury occurred during the third quarter when he first twisted his left ankle. Despite the pain, he initially opted to stay on the bench and stretch it out with an exercise band. However, after re-entering the game in the fourth quarter, Curry twisted the same ankle again while setting a screen, forcing him to limp off the court and head to the locker room, accompanied by team medical staff. He called the injury "mild" to "moderate."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr has expressed concern but noted that Curry himself does not believe the injury to be severe. Curry’s condition will be reassessed on Friday, determining whether he will be fit for the upcoming five-game road trip.

In addition to Curry, Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton also suffered an injury during Sunday’s game and will be re-evaluated on Friday for a strained lower back. Both Curry and Melton will miss the Tuesday and Wednesday games against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Adding to the team’s troubles, Andrew Wiggins is currently questionable due to a lower back strain. Wiggins, who scored 29 points on 11-of-15 shooting against the Clippers, has been one of the brighter spots for the Warriors so far this season.

With the team already experiencing rotation issues and key players struggling, such as Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski, the Warriors' depth will face a substantial test. Kerr may need to reconsider the starting lineup, potentially including Buddy Hield to address the spacing issues highlighted by Curry's absence.

The Warriors, now holding a 2-1 record after the loss, aim to reorganize and improve their game plan as they prepare to face tough opponents like the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Oklahoma City Thunder in the upcoming road trip.
