### Steph Curry's Extra Motivation Drives Warriors to Victory Over Mavericks

In a thrilling matchup on Tuesday night, the Golden State Warriors claimed a narrow 120-117 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, largely driven by an extra dose of motivation for Steph Curry. According to his teammate Draymond Green, Curry's fiery performance was fueled by an unusual incident in which former teammate Klay Thompson ghosted Curry during a pre-game text exchange.

Green shared insights about the situation on his podcast, describing how Curry reached out to Thompson before the game, only to be met with silence. This uncommon reaction from Thompson seemed to have a significant impact on Curry's mindset. "Steph called Raymond and told him he needed to lock in on the game and wasn't speaking to anyone," Green recounted. "When he tried to check in with Klay, Klay ghosted him, and that pissed him off. And here we go."

The result of Curry's intensified focus was nothing short of spectacular. He scored the Warriors' last 12 points, including a game-winning three-pointer with approximately 30 seconds remaining, effectively dampening Thompson’s return to the Bay.

Curry's all-around performance saw him finishing the game with 37 points, outshining Thompson's 22 points. The matchup was a mix of heartfelt moments and competitive intensity, showcasing why both players are fixtures in the NBA spotlight.

The Warriors and Mavericks are set to face off two more times this season on February 12 and February 23, which promises to deliver more excitement and perhaps settle the scores between former teammates Curry and Thompson.
