### Starbucks Eliminates Extra Charge for Non-Dairy Milk Customizations

Starting November 7, Starbucks customers in the U.S. and Canada will enjoy a cost-saving perk coinciding with the launch of its holiday menu. The coffee giant has announced that it will no longer charge an additional fee for customizing beverages with non-dairy milk options like soymilk, oatmilk, almondmilk, and coconutmilk.

Brian Niccol, chairman and CEO of Starbucks, emphasized that customization is a fundamental aspect of the Starbucks experience, stating, "Core to the Starbucks Experience is the ability to customize your beverage to make it yours. By removing the extra charge for non-dairy milks we're embracing all the ways our customers enjoy their Starbucks."

Currently, the second most requested customization at Starbucks—right after adding a shot of espresso—is substituting dairy with non-dairy milk. The removal of this fee is expected to benefit nearly half of the company's existing U.S. customers who pay for such modifications, resulting in a price reduction exceeding 10%.

Niccol further elaborated, "I made a commitment that we'd get back to Starbucks, focusing on what has always set Starbucks apart—a welcoming coffeehouse where people gather and we serve the finest coffee handcrafted by our skilled baristas. This is just one of many changes we'll make to ensure a visit to Starbucks is worth it every time."

Since its establishment in 1971, Starbucks has been dedicated to ethically sourcing and roasting high-quality arabica coffee. With nearly 40,000 stores worldwide, the company continues to stand as the premier roaster and retailer of specialty coffee, committed to delivering an exceptional experience to every customer through every cup.
