According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the San Antonio Spurs have emerged as a potential third-team facilitator in the Sacramento Kings' pursuit of free agent forward DeMar DeRozan via sign-and-trade. Stein's report suggests that the Kings, who are keen on acquiring DeRozan, are currently exploring avenues for a three-team deal.

It was previously reported that the Chicago Bulls were also willing to facilitate a sign-and-trade for DeRozan. However, the Bulls insisted on involving a third team to avoid absorbing significant salary. Now, with the Spurs entering the picture, they could potentially help facilitate the deal.

During an episode of the #thisleague UNCUT podcast, Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report mentioned that the Kings, Miami Heat, and LA Clippers are all interested in acquiring DeRozan through a three-team sign-and-trade. Haynes also brought up the possibility of San Antonio serving as a landing spot for unwanted salary alongside the Detroit Pistons.

In other free agency rumors, there is speculation that Russell Westbrook may be more likely to join the Denver Nuggets through free agency instead of via trade. DNVR Sports' Harrison Wind opines that the Clippers could either buy out Westbrook or trade him to another team that would subsequently buy him out, thereby clearing the path for him to sign with Denver. However, finding a trade that satisfies both sides appears to be challenging.

Additionally, NBA swingman Evan Fournier's preference is reportedly to remain in the NBA rather than accept an offer from EuroLeague. According to Stein's latest Substack post, Fournier is expected to receive interest from NBA teams as free agency progresses. The 29-year-old Frenchman is likely to weigh his options and carefully consider the offers that come his way.

On the other hand, Greek club Panathinaikos has shown interest in acquiring free agent forward Dario Saric, as reported by Sportando. Saric, who played as a reserve for the Golden State Warriors last season, averaged 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and shot 37.6% from deep. It's worth noting that it might be surprising to see Saric make the move to Europe so soon after the start of free agency, given his productive season and the potential for additional NBA interest to arise.

As free agency continues, fans will be eagerly awaiting news of potential signings and further developments in these ongoing proceedings.
