In a shocking turn of events, the bodies of six individuals were discovered on Tuesday in a high-end hotel in downtown Bangkok, Thailand. Thai authorities suspect poisoning to be the cause of death, as the victims were found foaming at the mouth.

An officer from the Lumpini police station, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed that the victims were two Vietnamese Americans and four Vietnamese nationals. Reports indicate that the occupants of the room were scheduled to check out earlier that day, and their luggage had already been packed. The bodies were only discovered when a maid, who had become concerned after they failed to check out, found the room locked from the inside.

Thiti further stated that while there were traces of uneaten food from room service, it appeared that drinks had been consumed. The exact cause of death has not been confirmed at this stage of the investigation.
