Simone Biles, the accomplished American gymnast, has been making waves in the world of gymnastics with her outstanding performances and trailblazing achievements. From winning multiple world titles to revolutionizing the sport with her signature moves, Biles has become a symbol of excellence and empowerment.

In 2013, Biles burst onto the international scene at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Belgium. At just 16 years old, she became the first Black American gymnast to win the world all-around title, marking the start of her remarkable career. Biles' remarkable skills have earned her four gymnastic moves named after her, including the double layout with a half twist, which only four gymnasts have successfully completed as of June 2021.

Throughout her career, Biles has consistently broken barriers and shattered records. In 2023, she secured her 27th world gold medal at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, surpassing the record for world medals and Olympic medals combined, with a total of 34. Additionally, she became the second woman ever to win three all-around national titles at the U.S. National Championships, following in the footsteps of athlete Kim Zmeska.

Biles' impact extends beyond her athletic achievements. She has been vocal about body image and self-love, challenging beauty standards and promoting a culture of acceptance. In 2016, she took to Twitter to express her confidence in her own skin, and in 2020, she declared her refusal to compete with beauty standards and toxic trolling culture.

Despite facing physical challenges, Biles has shown incredible resilience and determination. During the 2018 World Championships in Doha, she won a medal on every event, becoming the first female gymnast since 1988 to achieve this feat. Notably, Biles accomplished this less than 24 hours after being hospitalized for pain caused by a kidney stone.

Biles has continued to push boundaries with her innovative skills. She introduced the Biles vault, a complex maneuver combining a roundoff, back handspring, and two twists, making her the only woman to perform this vault. She also debuted the Biles dismount on the balance beam, a double-twisting double-tucked salto backwards dismount that was undervalued despite its difficulty.

Off the gymnastics floor, Biles has used her platform to advocate for change. In 2021, she ended her partnership with Nike to join Athleta, emphasizing the importance of supporting females and children. Biles strives to use her voice to create positive change and appreciates the support she receives from Athleta in her endeavors.

In May 2021, Biles made history once again by becoming the first woman to successfully land the Yurchenko double pike vault during competition, earning the highest value in women's gymnastics. Furthermore, she secured a record seventh U.S. senior women's all-around title in June 2021, solidifying her position as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time.

As a testament to her iconic status, Biles proudly wears a leotard adorned with the image of a goat, symbolizing her undeniable status as the Greatest of All Time. Through her athletic prowess and unwavering determination, she continues to inspire and captivate fans worldwide.

Simone Biles has not only redefined gymnastics but also shattered expectations and inspired a new generation of athletes. With her record-breaking achievements, authenticity, and commitment to positive change, Biles has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the sport and serves as an empowering role model for aspiring athletes around the globe.
