In a series of powerful thunderstorms that swept across parts of the US state, nearly one million people found themselves without power. The devastation caused by the storms is evident in harrowing footage showing homes ripped apart and a trail of destruction in the southern US.

Tragically, these storms have also resulted in the loss of lives. Five individuals have been reported dead as the severe storms tore through the US Midwest on Tuesday. Buildings were destroyed, and vehicles were overturned, leaving a path of destruction in their wake.

The aftermath of the severe weather conditions is being witnessed with residents trying to pick up the pieces and assess the damage caused by the storms. The extensive clearing effort that has been ongoing for weeks is captured in chilling footage, showcasing the magnitude of destruction caused.

In addition to this, a significant incident involving the cargo ship Dali was recorded. The ship had collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge two months ago, and it took desperate efforts using tugboats to finally clear the vessel.

While storms ravage several areas of the country, another concern arises as a result of the severe weather conditions - numerous fires burning across the country. Some of these fires are dangerously close to towns and cities, posing a risk to the residents.

As affected regions grapple with the aftermath of the destruction caused by these severe thunderstorms, efforts are underway to restore power, rebuild shattered homes, and contain the fires. The resilience and determination of the community will be essential in overcoming these challenges and restoring normalcy in the face of adversity.
