In a major security breach that marred the end of Portugal's win over Turkey at Euro 2024, five fans managed to invade the pitch and approach Cristiano Ronaldo in an attempt to take selfies with the football star. The incident took place during the Group F match at the Westfalenstadion.

The first fan, a young supporter, successfully evaded stewards in the 69th minute and approached Ronaldo, who willingly posed for a selfie before security escorted the fan away. However, this incident seemed to trigger several follow-up attempts, both during the game and at full-time, much to Ronaldo's growing frustration with the security lapses.

The second supporter, an older fan, invaded the pitch about 15 minutes after the initial incident and even grabbed Ronaldo by the neck in an unsuccessful attempt to take a selfie. Eventually, security reached the fan and pulled him away from the forward, who turned his back and appeared visibly irritated.

Despite the disturbances caused by these pitch invaders, Portugal managed to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory over Turkey. The win secured Portugal's spot in the Euro 2024 last 16 as Group F winners.

The goals came from Bernardo Silva, who scored his first goal in a major international tournament in the 21st minute with a deflected shot. Turkish defender Samet Akaydin also contributed to Portugal's victory with an unfortunate own-goal as he tried to play the ball back to his goalkeeper. Bruno Fernandes sealed the win with a tap-in, set up by Ronaldo after being sent through by substitute Ruben Neves.

With this victory, Portugal now leads Group F with six points, three ahead of Turkey in second place. They also have a five-point advantage over Georgia and Czech Republic, with one more game to go in the group stage.

While Portugal's performance on the field was impressive, the security breaches and the fans' unauthorized access to the pitch have raised concerns about stadium security during the tournament. The authorities will undoubtedly be reviewing and tightening security measures to ensure the safety of players and fans alike in future matches.
