Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs is once again under scrutiny as a new wave of lawsuits was filed against him on Monday, alleging rape, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. The fresh lawsuits have been filed by two women and four men in New York federal court, with accusations spanning from 1995 to 2021.

The unnamed plaintiffs claim that some of the alleged assaults occurred during parties hosted by Combs, which were frequented by high-profile celebrities and renowned music artists. Combs has previously refuted all civil and criminal allegations made against him.

One plaintiff asserts that he was just 16 years old when he attended a party in the Hamptons in 1998. He recalls his excitement at receiving an exclusive invitation to what was known as a premier A-list event. The lawsuit details how the teenager encountered Combs while heading to the bathroom and engaged in a conversation about breaking into the music industry. According to the claim, Combs led him to a private area, demanded he undress, and described it as "a rite of passage" necessary to become a star. The lawsuit includes a photograph of the two at the party, with the teen's face blurred out.

Another lawsuit includes allegations from a woman who claims that Combs raped her in a hotel room in 2004 when she was a 19-year-old college student. She states that they met at a photoshoot, where Combs later invited her and a friend to a private party at his hotel. The lawsuit alleges that once they arrived, Combs "fondled, molested, and ultimately raped her" despite her repeated pleas for him to stop.

Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee, who represents the accusers, has announced that he is working with more than 100 individuals planning to sue Combs on grounds of sexual assault, rape, and sexual exploitation. Buzbee mentions that some of these alleged victims are minors. The lawsuits are being filed under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, allowing older claims to be brought forward.

In a statement following the filing of the lawsuits, Buzbee said, "We will let the allegations in the filed complaints speak for themselves and will work to see that justice is done. We expect to be filing many more cases over the next several weeks naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare the filings."

Neither Combs nor his legal team have made any public response to these latest allegations. These lawsuits are part of a series of more than a dozen similar claims against Combs, including charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. His trial is tentatively set to begin on 5 May 2025. Since his arrest on 16 September, Combs has been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. His lawyers have argued for his release, citing the facility's deplorable conditions, but the request was denied, with the judge deeming Combs a "serious flight risk."

Combs, a Grammy-winning singer, continues to deny all accusations, dismissing them as "extortion and defamation."
