In a recent appearance on "The Kyle & Jackie O Show," comedian Rob Schneider didn't hold back his criticism of actor Will Smith, branding him an "a-hole" while discussing the infamous 2022 Oscars slap incident involving Smith and Chris Rock. Schneider accused Smith of hiding his true identity for years and claimed that the incident exposed his true nature.

During the live broadcast of the Oscars, Smith slapped Rock after the comedian made fun of Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. According to Schneider, the incident revealed Smith's true character and alleged that he has been pretending to be someone he's not.

Schneider, who is a close friend of Chris Rock, praised the legendary comedian for his contributions to the world of comedy. He stated that Rock had paved the way for countless comedians and opened doors for the comedy industry.

The comedian also revealed that he was not allowed to express his opinion at the time of the incident since he was part of the committee responsible for punishing Smith. He further described Smith as a "liar" and a "complete, utter fraud," expressing his dissatisfaction with how the Academy handled the situation.

Schneider criticized the Academy's decision to not take strict action against Smith, suggesting that if he had been the one to commit such an act, he would have faced severe consequences. He emphasized that regardless of race or religion, committing a crime in front of others should lead to appropriate repercussions.

Describing Chris Rock as a sensitive and brilliant individual, Schneider highlighted the impact the incident had on the comedian. He mentioned that it took Rock a considerable amount of time to process the incident, as it had greatly affected him.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Will Smith's representative for comment but has not received an immediate response. The past few years have seen Smith facing criticism and backlash, and in 2023, he spoke about how these "adversities" had prompted him to refocus his personal priorities.

At a panel during the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, Smith expressed his desire to put good into the world and spread joy and inspiration. He emphasized that he did not need external validation to stay focused on his mission.

As the controversy surrounding the 2022 Oscars slap continues, it remains to be seen how this will further affect the relationship between Will Smith, Chris Rock, and others involved.
