In a shocking turn of events, rapper Rick Ross was allegedly assaulted following his performance at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver, B.C. on Sunday night (June 30). Video footage shared online shows Rozay being sucker punched, which quickly escalated into a brawl.

According to TMZ, the incident occurred as Ross was leaving the main stage area after wrapping up his set around 10:30 p.m. local time. The video captured Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss track "Not Like Us" playing in the background, adding an additional layer of tension to the situation due to Ross' ongoing feud with the Toronto-native rapper.

As the confrontation intensified, punches were thrown, and another video angle captured one of Ross' associates being knocked unconscious and subsequently carried away to safety. Amidst the chaos, someone can be heard shouting, "White boy," potentially referencing Ross' nickname for Drake in his "Champagne Moments" diss track.

Fortunately, Rick Ross confirmed to TMZ on Monday morning that no one from his entourage suffered serious injuries. He even expressed his eagerness to return to Vancouver, describing it as a "beautiful" city. Ross further demonstrated his carefree mindset by posting a photo on Instagram Stories of himself laughing in front of a private jet, bidding farewell to Vancouver.

Billboard has reached out to Rick Ross' representatives, as well as the Ignite Music Festival and the Vancouver Police Department, for further information on the incident. Meanwhile, rapper 50 Cent wasted no time in taunting his rival, sharing an alleged clip on Instagram that mocked Ross' escape from the brawl.

Interestingly, Drake, who was not involved in the altercation, liked a post on Instagram recapping the incident, suggesting his possible support for Keep6ixSolid, which mentioned Ross. The cause of the feud between Ross and Drake earlier this year remains uncertain, considering their previous close collaboration over the last 15 years. It began with Drake's snide remarks on his "Push Ups" diss track in April, to which Ross responded with his own diss track, "Champagne Moments," calling out alleged cosmetic work undergone by the OVO honcho.

As the investigation unfolds, fans and industry insiders eagerly await more information regarding the circumstances behind the assault and the potential fallout from this shocking incident.
