### Reug Reug Claims ONE Heavyweight Title Over Anatoly Malykhin in Bangkok Thriller

In an electrifying night of martial arts at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Oumar Kane, better known as Reug Reug, emerged triumphant, seizing the ONE heavyweight title. On Friday night, Reug Reug secured a narrow split-decision victory against previously undefeated Anatoly Malykhin in the main event of ONE Championship 169.

Reug Reug's wrestling background and formidable size posed significant challenges for Malykhin, a three-division ONE champion. Early in the fight, Reug Reug executed a swift takedown, setting the tone for the bout. Although Malykhin managed to get back to his feet, the fighters continued their grappling exchanges along the ropes, which ultimately led to Malykhin receiving a yellow card for repeatedly reaching through the ropes.

As the fight wore on, Malykhin delivered some powerful strikes but was unable to dent Reug Reug's solid chin. In contrast, Reug Reug managed to drop Malykhin in the final round, swaying the judges' scorecards in his favor. Despite Malykhin's higher activity levels, two of the judges awarded the fight to Reug Reug, marking Malykhin's first career loss.

In the co-main event, Rodtang Jitmuangnon overcame Jacob Smith with a unanimous decision. Although this fight was slated as a defense of Rodtang’s ONE flyweight Muay Thai title, he was stripped of the belt after failing to make weight. Nevertheless, Rodtang delivered an exceptional performance, even opening a gash over Smith's eye with a fierce elbow.

Another highlight of the evening was Jackie Buntan's victory over Anissa Meksen, earning her the inaugural ONE women's flyweight kickboxing title. The two competitors traded blows for 15 minutes, but the judges favored Buntan's decisive moments in the match, awarding her the unanimous decision win.

Former flyweight champion Adriano Moraes also made a statement by trapping Danny Kingad in a second-round guillotine. This victory marks Moraes' return to form after losing his trilogy bout with Demetrious Johnson and possibly sets him up for another title shot.

Additional standout performances included Kade Ruotolo and multiple-time BJJ world champion Carlos Buchecha. Ruotolo quickly dispatched Ahmed Mujtba with a first-round submission, while Buchecha submitted Amir Aliakbari, also in the first round.

The event at Lumpinee Stadium captivated fans with high-stakes bouts and spectacular performances, underscoring the intense competition and skill within the ONE Championship arena.
