House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Turner, a Republican from Ohio, has brought attention to the Russian nuclear threat that he believes the Biden administration was not adequately addressing. Turner notified all congressional lawmakers last Wednesday about Russia's intentions to place nuclear weapons in space, expressing his worries that the White House was not taking the threat seriously, and accusing them of "sleepwalking into an international crisis."

Turner called on President Biden's administration to declassify information regarding the threat, likening it to the past issue of the Chinese spy balloon where he perceives inaction and possible concealment. He emphasized the severity of the threat, mentioning that other officials who have reviewed the situation share his concerns.

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan reportedly had a meeting scheduled with Turner and other congressional members days prior to Turner's public disclosure of the Russian threat. Sullivan expressed surprise at Turner's decision to sound the alarm publicly, mentioning that the meeting had already been planned.

Sources disclosed to Fox News Digital that the Russian technology capable of disrupting U.S. military satellites and other crucial space infrastructure has not yet been deployed. Despite this, Turner's call for transparency and action in addressing the looming threat has drawn attention to the seriousness of the situation.
