Renato Moicano, buoyed by his recent TKO victory over Benoit Saint Denis at the Accor Arena in Paris, is accelerating his pursuit of high-profile matchups. Moicano, carrying a professional record of 20-5-1 (MMA) and 12-5 (UFC), has been eyeing a bout with Paddy Pimblett for months. The tables turned when Pimblett, after Moicano's win, called him out through an Instagram post that tagged Moicano and said, "Let's do this."

However, Moicano responded cautiously to the challenge during his post-fight news conference, advising Pimblett against accepting the fight, claiming he would do him significant harm. "Please don't accept the fight," Moicano warned. "I'm going to hurt you. I'm going to elbow your skull."

Pimblett, who boasts an MMA record of 22-3 with a perfect 6-0 in the UFC, has previously expressed his willingness to face Moicano. Despite being one of the most frequently called-out fighters in the UFC, Saturday's call-out by Pimblett was unusual as he seldom initiates such challenges. Moicano sees this as an opportunity to gain significant exposure, potentially through a role as a coach on "The Ultimate Fighter."

"I think it's going to be a huge exposure," Moicano explained. "This year marks my 10th year in the UFC, yet three years ago, nobody knew me despite my dedication and hard work. Now, I want more cameras and greater visibility in MMA. This will help attract attention and bolster my case for a title shot."

While Pimblett remains a major target, Moicano also has his sights set on other contenders, such as Dan Hooker, whom he referred to as "easy money." Moicano is determined to leverage his recent winning streak and establish himself as a serious contender for the lightweight title.

"Everyone is talking about my four consecutive wins, but it's actually six in the lightweight division,” Moicano clarified. “My only loss was to Rafael dos Anjos at a catchweight of 160, which is not lightweight. If you look at the top 15, find someone with six wins and five finishes. People cannot ignore me anymore. I’m 35 years old, and it's now or never. I want to beat Dan Hooker or Paddy Pimblett and then fight for the title."

Renato Moicano is making it clear that he wants to be a household name in the MMA world and believes that a high-stakes fight against either Pimblett or Hooker could be his path to a title shot.
